Family Program
Family Program is an organized program that is provided by the rehabilitation center to integrate family’s involvement in the treatment procedures of the patients dealing with substance and alcohol abuse as well as the co-occurring conditions and mental illness. It has been acknowledged that Family Program is an integral part of raising awareness to the patient’s near and dear ones to acknowledge the condition of the patients which will also help in monitoring the condition of the patients. With the growing awareness of the impact of mental health disorders and/or addiction in a patient and also impacts caused because of having some loved ones go through the process of addiction and such disorders, several family treatment programs have been launched to make the journey of the patients and their loved ones easier.
The Family treatment programs not only aids in understanding the situation of the patient who is in the rehabilitation center undergoing treatment but also brings understanding to the family members. It provides a certain sense of comfort in knowing that their loved ones are in a safe environment and are on the road to recovery.

Sunrise Recovery Care offers family therapy programs for patients and their families with all the necessary information, guidance, resources, psychotherapy and support system to strengthen their interpersonal relationships to provide full family recovery. The Family Program also brings into attention various methods that they can use to help the patients to overcome the condition of relapsing after the treatment is over.
At Sunrise Recovery Care, we understand the importance of having some loved ones beside the patients to make them feel supported and encouraged. We, therefore give prime importance to the family treatment programs where family members can participate in various therapies and counseling sessions with their loved ones. Participation of family in such programs are highly encouraged. When someone goes through addiction and mental illness, it is not just the patients who are affected by the problem but the families suffer alongside them.
To help the family members understand the situation and help them find solace by making them aware of the condition and helping them cope with the situation is held into priority.
The family programs are organized in mainly three forms.
Family Group:
Under this program family members are given understanding about their loved ones’ condition along with providing information on the type of mental disease and/or addiction. The family groups are presented with education on the issues that the patients have been dealing with and give clarity on the present situation of the patients.
Subject matters like Continous Care planning, recovery management along with managing symptoms and other topics are discussed within the group with the family members.
Family Therapy:
Under this family program, therapies are provided to the patients and their families. As issues like addiction and mental illness, unfortunately, affects not just the patients but their family members too. The feeling of guilt and misunderstanding is a common phenomenon with the patients and the family undergoing these problems. Thus, it is important to counsel and help the family and members and provide a platform where there is a healthy discussion amongst them. Also, by providing a safe environment, it encourages the members in the family therapy to find solace in one another and help them in the path to recovery.
Intensive Family Program:
These programs incorporate workshops and support groups and provide them with in-depth information and educate the members about the condition of the mental illness and/or addiction of the patients. The intensive family therapy includes additional psychotherapy for an individual, group, and family

What I loved most about being at Sunrise is the fact that almost everyone who works there is a recovering addict. It really helped to know that there are others just like me that have to deal with some sort of a struggle on a daily basis.

The second that door opened until after I left. There was always something for me to do, so I never had any downtime to get depressed or think about drugs. They also made my family feel welcomed and respected.

I felt loved at Sunrise because the staff made us feel at home always. Someone struggling with addiction should get care at Sunrise because they are the friendliest staff ever. I am almost five months sober and it's all because of them."
