Dr. Sandeep Kapoor

As both the founder and CEO of Sunrise Recovery, Dr. Kapoor draws more than 21 years of diverse experiences, especially in internal medicine, and behavioral health. In 2018 Dr. Kapoor decided to commit to helping with the national opioid crisis, which lead to his decision to launch Sunrise Recovery LLC. With Sunrise Kapoor plans to address mental health, substance use disorders and help clients get back to a healthy productive life.
Brandy Phillips
Chief Operating Officer
Brandy is the Chief Operating Officer at Sunrise Recovery. She has been in the helping profession for over 15 years, and has 5 years of progressively responsible experience and knowledge in the field of behavioral health care and financial management. Phillips has successfully assisted with the launch of start-ups in Indiana, Kentucky, and Texas. As a cross functional communicator, she effectively works with all levels of staff, including executive management, physicians, nurses, clients, families, customer partners and regulatory agencies. Phillips has strong connections in the southern Indiana market, and is looking forward to growing the business.
Tammy Jones, BSN
Director of Nursing & Admissions
Tammy Jones, BSN is the Director of Nursing and admissions at Sunrise Recovery. Tammy provides oversight and direction to the nursing services at the facility while working directly with the COO and Medical Director, in her role as the DON. She has over 10 years of experience in nursing, and more than 5 years in the behavioral health field. Tammy is happy to be part of such an excellent team of professionals and looks forward to continuing to serve the clients at Sunrise Recovery and ensure that each client receives the best experience possible to obtain true recovery in their everyday life.
Kaylee James
Director of Revenue Cycle Management
Kaylee James, is the Director of Revenue at Sunrise Recovery. Kaylee has more than 5 years of progressive healthcare administration experience most recently specializing in SUD billing, and revenue management. James has extensive knowledge of healthcare accounts receivable, healthcare compliance, claims processing, admissions, medical coding, insurance verification, precertification, billing and collections policies and procedures. James is looking forward to her future with Sunrise Recovery, and happy to be apart of such a wonderful team.
Laura Deaton
Business Development & Community Outreach Coordinator
Laura Deaton is the Business Development andCommunity Outreach Coordinator for Sunrise Recovery. Laura is a person in long term recovery and has nearly 5 years sobriety. Laura is an Indiana Certified Recovery Specialist and very active in the recovery community throughout the state. Her goals are to be that liaison to treatment for families and loved ones bound in addiction. Laura is an advocate for those in recovery and works tirelessly to end the stigma of addiction.
Gerald Kyle
IOP Manager
Gerald Kyle joined Sunrise in early 2020 and is living life in Recovery from substance alcohol addiction. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human and Environmental Studies and has nearly 40 years of management experience in high-end retail, fine dining and multi-unit restaurant management. Upon his early retirement from Starbucks, Gerald found his passion working with recovering addicts. He is often heard saying, “Instead of trying to build your Recovery around your life, build your life around your Recovery.
Brett Hammond
Clinical therapist
With nearly a decade of experience working with individuals experiencing addiction and co-occurring disorders. Brett specializes in dealing with shame, self-criticism, and men’s issues and regularly attends training events to learn new evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. A strong believer in the human capacity for growth, Brett leverages the science of behavior change combined with respect and compassion for his clients. Brett enjoys Netflix binges, finding new restaurants to try, and photography. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Southeast Missouri State University and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville
