Actress and celebrity Brooke Mueller checked herself into a trauma and rehabilitation center last August of 2019 as she continues to face struggles with sobriety.
A representative for Brooke Mueller stated, “Brooke voluntarily checked herself into a trauma center on the East Coast and is working hard to get well. Like millions of people know, sobriety is a daily challenge,”
This development comes after reports surfaced that Mueller was traveling with several suitcases full of drugs, along with an audiotape of her allegedly attempting to procure drugs in New York.
Acording to Brooke Muller’s recording, she stated: “Actually, what we want is, if it’s possible, cocaine and meth, crystal and coke, and if it’s even possible, it has to be the tar, black tar. But that’s not for me…I just go on and off. Everyone does. Almost everyone. There’s the few that stay sober, but not at my level,”
When contacted by Page Six, which published the report, Mueller denied using heroin or seeking drugs at the time.
Mueller has been battling substance abuse for decades, undergoing treatment at various rehabilitation facilities. Despite completing several programs, she has unfortunately experienced multiple relapses.
Brooke Mueller is an American actress, and was previously married to actor named Charlie Sheen with whom she shares twin sons. Although divorced, the two have remained on good terms. Sheen addressed the news of Mueller’s decision to enter a trauma center.
Charlie Sheen said: “She’s right where she needs to be. The kids are great, they’re not involved in anything she’s doing. I hope she gets the help she needs. It doesn’t look like she’s having fun. We’re here when she reaches out, she knows where to find us.”
Addiction is a lifelong battle. Relapses are a common part of the recovery journey, but it’s crucial for those in recovery to understand that setbacks can be overcome. If you or someone you know has experienced a relapse, know that it’s possible to move forward and continue the fight.
