Director of Nursing

Jessica Baird, BSN, CARN is currently the Director of Nursing at Sunrise Recovery. Jessica provides oversight and direction to the nursing services at the facility while working directly with the COO and Medical Director, in her role as the DON. She has over 10 years of experience in psychiatry as well as chemical dependency and is a long standing member of the International Nurses Society on Addictions (IntNSA). Jessica is happy to be part of such an excellent team of professionals and looks forward to continuing to serve the clients at Sunrise Recovery and ensure that each client receives the best experience possible to obtain true recovery in their everyday life.

Melissa Goforth

Marketing & Admissions Director

Is a former local newspaper reporter and NASA communications professional who now works and volunteers in the world of recovery. Melissa is in long-term recovery with 8 years of sobriety after nearly dying because of her addiction. She is an Indiana certified peer recovery coach who uses her personal story, lived experience, insights and compassion to walk with those who are actively using so they may achieve freedom and joy in recovery. Her goal is to ensure that all who are struggling with addiction receive the help, treatment, love and support they need to thrive in recovery by removing boundaries, reducing stigma and being a voice for those who are trapped in the darkness

Brett Hammond

Clinical therapist

With nearly a decade of experience working with individuals experiencing addiction and co-occurring disorders. Brett specializes in dealing with shame, self-criticism, and men’s issues and regularly attends training events to learn new evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. A strong believer in the human capacity for growth, Brett leverages the science of behavior change combined with respect and compassion for his clients. Brett enjoys Netflix binges, finding new restaurants to try, and photography. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Southeast Missouri State University and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville
